About the event
The word 'Yoga' is derived from the Sanskrit root 'Yuj', meaning 'to join' or 'to yoke' or 'to unite'. In this Basic Mala Workshop, we will unite to learn the art of making a knotted 108 bead mala and discover ways to use this art to grow in your yoga practice. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY (other than knowing how to tie knots). You will be given the tools and supplies to create your own personalized mala. You will be guided through the benefits of setting an intention and the importance of the beads you choose. You will also gain insight to mala origins, healing properties of the gemstones, and other ways malas may help grow your yoga practice.
